In developing long term strategies for urban water management in Australia an integrated approach called Integrated Water Cycle Management concept is used. This approach allows water supply authorities to consider all elements of the water cycle including water, wastewater and stormwater and deliver most appropriate and cost effective solutions for the community and the environment. This includes various options such as rainwater tanks, sewer mining, dual reticulations, fit-for-use water etc.etc.  I would be interested in knowing whether this approach is used in Sri Lanka?
